Why give to the Academy Fund?
Each year we rely upon the generous support of alumni, friends, parents, trustees, faculty and philanthropists to help us provide a transformative education to all our students.
Tuition covers only 70% of the true cost of a GPA education – the Academy Fund bridges that gap, ensuring we can continue to deliver the excellence that defines our school: exceptional programs, inspiring faculty, and a thriving learning environment.
Your support is incredibly important. Gifts of time, talent and treasure from the greater Academy community better the school and secure its mission to nurture, challenge and inspire students for years to come.
Our goal for the 2025–2026 Academy Fund is to raise $200,000, with 100% participation from our Board of Trustees, faculty, staff, and parents.
Your gift will have an immediate impact on current and future students by ensuring excellence for our programs, facilities, professional development and technology.
Every gift – no matter the size – is a powerful statement of our shared commitment to the future of our students and our school.

A Message from 2025-2026 Chair
It is a privilege to return as chair of the Academy Fund for the 2025–2026 school year. From the moment my husband Ryan and I chose The Grosse Pointe Academy, we knew it would be a place where our children could grow, learn, and thrive. All three began their GPA journey in the Early School at age 3, and now our family is entering a new chapter – Ryan graduated last year, Elle is in 7th grade, and Margot is in 6th. We are so proud of the individuals they are becoming, shaped in no small part by this extraordinary community.
As a privately funded school, GPA’s success depends on the generosity of families and friends who believe in its mission. The Academy Fund plays a vital role in bridging the gap between tuition and the true cost of a GPA education, ensuring that every student has access to exceptional programs, dedicated faculty, and enriching opportunities. Together, we provide the tools and experiences our children need to flourish – not just as students, but as confident, compassionate leaders.
Thank you for your continued support and for being an essential part of the GPA story.
Sincerely,
Kristine Armaly Shalla
