I give because to me the Academy was my childhood. It was 11 years of friends, sports, and learning, for which I am so grateful. It truly did make me the person I am today and I want to help ensure it will be there for years to come.
Why give to the Academy Fund?
Each year we rely upon the generous support of alumni, friends, parents, trustees, faculty and philanthropists to help us provide a transformative education to all our students.
Your support is incredibly important. Gifts of time, talent and treasure from the greater Academy community better the school and secure its mission to nurture, challenge and inspire students for years to come.
Your gift will have an immediate impact on current and future students by ensuring excellence for our programs, facilities, professional development and technology.
A Message from 2024-2025 Chair
It is with great honor that I have been asked to chair the 2024-2025 Academy Fund. Together with my husband Ryan, we knew from the start that GPA would be an amazing institution for our children. They all began in the Early School at the age of 3 and this year, Ryan will be graduating from the 8th grade, Elle is in 6th grade, and Margot is in 5th grade. We are so proud of all they have accomplished.
As a privately funded school, the triumphs of our children are made possible by the generosity of families and friends of The Grosse Pointe Academy. The Academy Fund has helped to support the growth of our children for years. We continue to rely on our annual giving initiative to provide the support needed to bridge the gap between tuition dollars received and the cost of educating each student. Together we are all helping to provide Academy students with the ever-important tools they will use to flourish into marvelous individuals.
Our goal for the 2024-2025 Academy Fund is to raise $200,000 with 100% participation from our Board of Trustees, faculty, staff, and parents.
Every contribution, big or small, is a testament to the strength of our community and its commitment to shaping the leaders of tomorrow.
Thank you for all your support!
Sincerely,
Kristine Armaly Shalla
