The Grosse Pointe Academy's Strategic Plan outlines a comprehensive roadmap for the school's future, emphasizing educational innovation, financial sustainability, and increased student enrollment. The planning process, which began in 2018 and was shaped by external consultants, reflects the Academy's commitment to adapting to a rapidly changing world, particularly in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. The vision focuses on reimagining the middle school experience to align with the needs of tomorrow's workplace while maintaining a strong academic foundation for all students.

Key initiatives include expanding after-school programs, virtual and part-time student options, and introducing new offerings for infants and early learners. The school aims to reach 350+ students by 2030, fostering a more diverse student body. Strategies for increasing enrollment include attracting students through tuition assistance programs, such as the Merit Scholarship for grades 5-8, and strategic partnerships like the Summer 2020 Camp with the College for Creative Studies.

To support long-term sustainability, the plan proposes repurposing campus properties, including the Lake Shore Building and Moran farmhouse, and setting a goal of building a $20M endowment. Fundraising efforts will be enhanced through expanded alumni engagement, Planned Giving initiatives, and partnerships with education-focused foundations. The Action Auction and Academy Fund will continue to engage the school’s community, focusing on increasing participation and community building. Ultimately, the strategic plan aims to nurture, challenge, and inspire students while securing a vibrant future for the Academy.
