The Dog Pound Opens Soon!

On September 27th, The Grosse Pointe Academy's school store, The Dog Pound will host its 2022-23 school-year Grand Opening. 

The store, which will be open on C and F days for students in the Main School, is run by students, for students. 

Middle School students who are enrolled in the Financial Literacy elective are responsible for all aspects of the store's operations, marketing and sales. 

Another example of how our students are utilizing what they learn in a hands-on way, the school store has items ranging from snacks and fidgets to school-branded swag and shirts. Our Middle School students do market research, set the pricing, ensure stock is ordered and handle sales. 

Main School students can shop at the store on C and F days at the end of the school day. The Financial Literacy elective is led by teacher, Dayun Marjanovic. Mr. Marjanovic can be contacted at dmarjanovic@gpacademy.org.
