Grandparents' & Special Friends' Day - a Cherished Academy Tradition

Friday was a memorable day at The Grosse Pointe Academy as our students welcomed their loved ones to campus for Grandparents’ and Special Friends’ Day. At the Academy, students are encouraged to discover their passions, ask questions and show appreciation for the world around them. Grandparents’ and Special Friends’ day is our students’ way of saying “thank you” to those they love and are inspired by.

Students dedicated a musical performance to their special visitors. Once the musical performance concluded, our students had the opportunity to bring their guests to their classrooms and see the spaces where our students learn, play and explore each day.

“What a wonderful way to spend the day with my granddaughter and her classmates, “ said Barbara, grandmother of a Grade 3 student. “The students and teachers are so talented. Seeing the care they put into the day is something truly special.”

Grandparents’ and Special Friends’ Day is something we look forward to each year. Thank you to everyone who celebrated the day with us! A special thank you to our teachers, Carolyn Gross, Morgan Walker and Nate Castle for orchestrating an incredible musical performance. The looks of joy on both our students’ faces as well as their guests was something special to witness.
