GPA Students Shine at 2025 Michigan History Day State Finals

The Grosse Pointe Academy is proud to celebrate the remarkable achievements of our students at the 2025 Michigan History Day® (MHD) State Finals, hosted at Central Michigan University. This year’s theme, "Rights and Responsibilities in History," inspired students across the state to explore powerful historical narratives—and our GPA students rose to the challenge with passion, creativity, and excellence.

We are thrilled to announce that two GPA teams earned top honors at the state level:

These awards reflect the students’ dedication to historical research, collaboration, and compelling presentation. Their projects not only showcased in-depth knowledge but also brought history to life in meaningful ways.

Michigan History Day is an affiliate of National History Day®, a highly respected academic program that encourages students to become historians and storytellers. With more than 6,000 students participating across the state, the competition fosters critical thinking, research skills, and a deeper appreciation for the past.

We are incredibly proud of our students for their hard work and commendable performance. A heartfelt thank you goes out to their teachers, families, and everyone who supported them throughout this journey.
