A Night of Success and Community Spirit: Recap of The Grosse Pointe Academy's Action Auction 2023

The Grosse Pointe Academy recently held its highly anticipated Action Auction 2023, a spectacular event that brought together the community in support of their mission to “nurture, challenge and inspire” all students to their full potential. The evening was filled with excitement, generosity and a strong sense of unity as attendees gathered to raise funds for the school’s vital initiatives. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all who participated and contributed to the tremendous success of the event.

A Record Breaking Event:
Now in its 55th year, the event surpassed all expectations, both in terms of fundraising and attendance. With over 500+ attendees, the event was a true reflection of the strong community spirit that permeates The Grosse Pointe Academy. Together, the GPA community raised an impressive sum of nearly $900,000 in contributions, a testament to the unwavering support and dedication of our community members.

Investing in Campus Security:
One of the highlights of the auction was the Paddle Raise initiative, aimed at enhancing the safety and security of the students. With a goal of raising $200,000, the generosity of our attendees exceeded expectations and resulted in a remarkable achievement of nearly $300,000 raised. This resounding success underscores the shared commitment to providing a safe and nurturing environment for our students to thrive.

Empowering Student Success:
Over the years, the proceeds from the Action Auction have played a vital role in funding critical initiatives for our students and faculty. These include providing technology resources, supporting faculty professional development, promoting student social-emotional growth through programming, establishing a greenhouse for our Farm-to-Table program, enhancing sport courts and playgrounds and upgrading classroom furniture. Your contributions have made a lasting impact on our students' educational journey.

The tireless efforts and commitment of the Auction Chairs played a pivotal role in the triumph of the Action Auction 2023.
