The girls won their fourth match of the season 11-3 on Wednesday. Eight singles and six doubles matches were played. The Bulldogs won all five of the close matches that could have gone either way.

The girls raised their season record to 5 and 0 with a solid 7-2 win over Sacred Heart yesterday. We split the first four singles points but went on to sweep the five doubles points. Our top four doubles teams have combined for a perfect record this season of 20 wins and 0 losses.

The girls continued to control the tennis courts with a 5-1 win over Hillel, extending their season record to 6 wins and 0 losses.

The highlight of the match was the comeback win of Miranda and Shavon. Down 0-4, they won six games in a row to win their match.

GPA vs. University Liggett School
May 1, 2008

The girls' tennis team won their match against ULS 8-0. They raised their season record to 7 wins and 0 losses and will be the favorite team entering the Independent School Tournament this weekend at ULS. The highlight of the match was Grace Rentschler's comeback win at #2 singles. She was down 0-3 and fought back to win her match 7-5 and remain undefeated in her position.

The Lady Bulldogs won the independent school tournament this weekend. We were champions in 7 of the 8 flights and runner-up in the other flight.

The girls raised their season record to 10 and 0 with a solid 10-1 victory yesterday at Greenhills. One of the highlights was Luiza Wasilewski winning her first point of the season at #6 doubles. Her partner was Miranda Turner.

GPA vs. St. Paul
May 22, 2008
 
Like a well-oiled machine, the girls continued to play outstanding tennis on their way to a 10-0 victory over St. Paul's Catholic School. This win completed an undefeated season - the first perfect season in 25 years. Two doubles teams also finished with 13-0 records: Lauren Schaller and Chandler Warren at #2 doubles, and Lexie Fisher and Elizabeth DiMauro. Congratulations Lady Bulldogs!

Little Shop of Horrors
During the last week of school, while the rest of the students were busy finishing up classes, going on picnics, and enjoying end-of-year celebrations, the eighth grade was going full throttle in the production of an Academy tradition: the eighth grade play.
