Surprise Parade for Camille DeMario

It may have rained during the surprise parade for Camille DeMario on Monday, but the rain didn't dampen spirits, nor did it spoil the surprise. Miss Camille showed up for what she thought was a pep rally prior to GPA's annual Spring Spirit Night, only to find out that it was in fact a tribute to her 39 years at the Academy. Early School classes and lower and middle school grades created a variety of floats in her honor, then paraded around the Tracy Fieldhouse. The students selected themes for their floats that they felt best represented their memories of their Early and Lower School Principal, from "We Can Always Count on You" (Miss Kate's three-day class), to "You are My Sunshine" (grade 1) and "Golfing into the Future" (grade 5).

Special thanks go to PCC co-chairs Jennifer Bojarczyk and Abby Wujek and room parents for planning and organizing the event, as well as all the parents who assisted with float building and hosting float building parties.
