Storyteller La'Ron Williams visited the Academy again this year to tell stories based on folk tales from the African/African-American tradition. In a series of age-appropriate presentations, he led the audience to see important lessons that have arisen from that tradition - lessons on self-esteem, self-reliance, perseverance in the face of great challenges, and the struggle to expand the American ideal of democratic inclusion.
