GPA students kicked off this year's Fall Spirit Night on Tuesday with their buddies during a pep rally in the morning, many of them meeting their buddies for the first time. Later that day PCC volunteers cooked up hot dogs for families, while GPA fans cheered on the cross country, boys' soccer and boys' tennis teams. A few sprinkles and rumbles of thunder did not dampen spirits or thin the crowd, and all games were able to be played to completion in spite of the questionable weather. GPA girls came in second in the cross country meet and the boys' tennis team beat the previously undefeated Hillel 7 to 5.
Making a special appearance during Spirit Night was the Scholastic Book Fair mascot, a polar bear, who reminded students and their parents about the blizzard of books coming soon to GPA.
