The Grosse Pointe Academy boys' tennis team was "awesome" this Saturday at the Academy of the Sacred Heart tennis tournament, according to Coach Cheryl Carroll. 

Four schools participated in this annual event: Academy of the Sacred Heart, University Liggett School, St. Paul and GPA. The Academy was declared champions for the third consecutive year.

The Academy came in first place with 19 points, followed by St. Paul with 12 points. ULS took third with 10 points, and ASH came in fourth with 8 points.

"Each and every player on the GPA team displayed good sportsmanship and put forth their very best effort throughout the tournament," said Coach Carroll. "This is a great group of boys and we really appreciated the support of all the parents who came out to cheer us on!"
