Grosse Pointe Academy first grader Kaitlin Fox was declared Acting Head for a Day of The Grosse Pointe Academy, effective on April 3, 2008. Kaitlin was granted this honor due to the fact that her parents were the winning bidders on this item at last year’s Action Auction.

By all accounts, Kaitlin carried out her duties and accepted the rights and privileges afforded to her and her classmates for the day, which included a special pizza and ice cream lunch. The Head of School was also generous enough to give each of her classmates T-shirts - Tigers T-shirts for the boys and "Friends Forever" T-shirts for the girls.
