Students in grades 1-5 participated in The Grosse Pointe Academy's seventh annual CATCH Fun Run on Friday, October 5. CATCH, which stands for Caring Athletes Team for Children's and Henry Ford Hospitals, was founded by Sparky Anderson in 1987. The students were asked to bring in $5 in order to participate in the run. Pictured is Jim Hughes, Executive Director of CATCH, with a check in the amount of $563. Sasha Murphy, GPA's community service coordinator, announced at the end of the event that in fact the figure was up to $600, and more donations were expected to come in the following week.
